Raw Intamacy spoke to my heart on so many different levels. Let me first start by saying; this book CHANGED..MY..LIFE.. The honesty that Kevin portrays in the book is remarkable from beginning to end. From inviting the reader into his story, starting in his early youth when he dreaded going to church, to his adult years when he became excited for the sabbath. I can truly relate to that! But aside from the relatable topics of his past that Kevin touches on, he walks you through an illistrated jouney that took him into the relationship he now shares with God, whom he describes many times in the book as the ''Lover Of My Soul'' and his ''Childhood Friend".
I sat down and spoke with Kevin shortly after reading his book and expressed to him my jealousy of his oneness with God. His response to me was "You can have it to." which leads me to the final, and maybe my most favorite part of the book at the end where he lists specific and easy ways to gain better intimacy with God; or as he phrases it: "How to water the seed of greater intimacy with your Creator and Savior". As I said in the beginning, this book has absolutely changed not only my life, but my outlook on the Sabbath for the better. Thanks Kevin!!!!
